4th of July Weekend

 Here we are at the Scofield Parade for the 4th of July weekend! 

It is a really fun/short/kinda ghetto but a funny sight to see!

 I would have to say this Mardi Gras float was one of the best floats AND they threw beads! 

That night were the fireworks over the lake. 

I can't believe I got this awesome firework picture it is one of the most amazing photos, I love it! It's so Perfect!

Wes PROPOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wes was going to propose during the grand finale of the fireworks but there ended up not really being a grand finale. So we headed back to the campfire as we were all sitting around the fire Wes left for a minute then the next thing I knew he was kneeling next to me (I didn't know he was kneeling because even though we were by the fire it was still dark). At first I thought he was trying to scare me so I kinda gave him a glare and thought HA you didn't scare me.

Then he asked me those 4 little words "Will You Marry Me"

I was speechless for I don't know how long then the first things that came out of my mouth was

"Are You Serious"???

(Because I also thought he was holding a fake ring. I really didn't think he had a real ring in his hand)

Then after REALLY REALIZING this was FOR REAL. I jumped up and gave him a hug.

He then asked me "So is that a YES"??!!

"YESSSSSSSS OF COURSE"!!!!!!!!!! I squealed  

 OMG look at how gorgeous this ring is. I still can't get over it!! He did an amazing job!!!

He was joking all weekend saying he was surprised I hadn't ran into a wall because I couldn't stop looking down at my hand.

OH and my neck was all kinked two days later, AGAIN Wes was laughing saying "It's because you can't stop looking down babe" HAHAHA It was pretty cute!!

JULY 4, 2011

We went over to my house because my family was having a BBQ and this is how we told my family about our engagement. We waited until the family was done eating then Wes and I went inside and put on my ring and grabbed the balloons we bought and we walked outside and said "We got these balloons to CELEBRATE our ENGAGEMENT"!!!!!!!!! As I held out my hand to show off my ring!

My family was super excited and they were all so happy and VERY surprised!!

We were able to celebrate some more with fireworks and sparklers!!

It was the most awesome weekend EVER and the BEST last two weeks I was able to spend with him!! 

I love Wes and could not be anymore happy! He makes me smile every second I am with him.

We will have such a looong engagement, at least a year but possibly longer. We are going to wait until he is out of the Marine Corps which will be July 2012 and then we will play it by ear to set a date. 

It will give us plenty of time to plan the most perfect wedding which is fine by me :)

The start of a two week vacation with Wes

I flew into Palm Springs, CA and Wesley was waiting for me to pick me up. I landed at 9p.m. and it was around 104 degrees I was like instantly dying of heat but I loved it at the same time because I just love the heat and love warm summer nights.

I have only been to 29 Palms one other time but this street makes me laugh and I had to Wes stop so I could get a picture by it.

Being so excited to be with him :)

This is in front of the armory where Wes works, He is with India Battery and is a Lance Corporal! 

When we drove home we went to his cousins graduation in Vegas at UNLV. His cousin graduated with High Honors with only about 50 other kids out of a class of 400 kids! We were so proud of her!
